Why do I need braces?
Braces not only straighten your teeth and give you a beautiful smile, they can also help correct your bite to ensure healthy teeth, gums and jaws
Can I have my teeth cleaned with braces?
Yes! During your orthodontic treatment, it is very important for you to continue seeing your dentist for cleanings and check-ups every 3-6 months.
What foods should I avoid while wearing braces?
You will want to avoid eating really hard, sticky and chewy foods that could break and damage your braces. These include hard and sticky candies, hard nuts and crusty breads. Don’t stop eating the healthy, crunch fruit and veggies; just cut them into small bites and eat them with the back teeth.
Is Smiletec treatment painful?
Not really! You might feel a little pressure or tightness for 2–3 days when you switch to a new aligner tray—that’s just your teeth moving. But it’s not painful, and it’s way more comfortable than metal braces.
Are Invisalign and aligners suitable for teenagers?<br />
Yes! As long as permanent teeth have come in. Invisalign and other aligners are a great option for teens. We also offer monitoring tools for parents to track progress.
Can I use Smiletec aligners?
Yes! Many people can straighten their teeth with Smiletec aligners. But you need to wear them for 22 hours a day to get the best results.
How long does the treatment take?
It depends on your teeth, but most people finish in 4 to 12 months.
